African Green Opal & Carnelian Necklace

This unique, long necklace features an African Green Opal pendant, accented by Thai silver pendant and bead and lots of Carnelian chips. I love the rich colors in African Green Opal, anything from rust red to brown and dark green. Other beads include more African Green Opal, Carnelian, Citrine and Chinese Jade, on handcrafted sterling silver links with a fancy sterling silver toggle clasp. It was very difficult to give this necklace up.

This piece is currently for sale at The Peace Tree Cafe in Moab, Utah. While I never make the exact same piece of jewelry twice, I would be happy to create a similar piece for you!

The sun is shining more, flowers are coming up in the yard, baby chicks have hatched, Spring is here! I think a new blog is called for too!

I have been designing and handcrafting jewelry since I discovered jewelry making and silversmithing courses in college. You will see the blues and greens of Michigan's beloved lakes reflected in many of the semi-precious gemstones in my unique sterling silver jewelry.

The purpose of this blog is to showcase my latest jewerly pieces, as they are made. I mostly use semi-precious gemstones and sterling silver. Visit often to see the newest designs, gemstones I'm using, and what's happening on my workbench.
